The studio "Arte & Restauro" is specialized in research on and treatment of fire-damaged paintings.

This painting, completely covered by soot and bladders, underwent a special treatment. The damaged varnish and consequently the thick layer of soot could be removed. Then, using a heated spatula and natural adhesive, all bladders could be flattened.
